What is a tour with you like?
Our tours are as individual as our guests.
Of course, we visit the highlights such as the New Old Town, the Cathedral, or the historic Paulskirche. But Frankfurt is so much more than its most famous sights – it’s a city of endless variety.
We might trace the footsteps of Jewish history, visit historic monasteries, or explore the impressive skyline with its glittering skyscrapers. A behind-the-scenes tour of Frankfurt Airport is also possible – a place that has fascinated me ever since I was a child.
For those who want to escape the buzz of the city, I recommend a relaxing walk through Frankfurt’s “green lung” – our beautiful city forest. A hike among dense woods, lakes, streams, and hidden springs is the perfect way to recharge.
In short: there’s something for everyone!
What’s Your Favorite Spot in Frankfurt?
My favorite spot in Frankfurt? Honestly, it’s my sofa at home 😄 – but there are just too many wonderful places in this city to pick only one.
When I need a break after a busy day, I head to the city forest to unwind and recharge in the fresh green.
In summer, I love sitting at a café on Schweizer Straße or at the Maincafé, enjoying the river view and the stunning skyline.
And I keep discovering new favorites: most recently the NFT Skybar. High above the rooftops of the city, with a fantastic view and a good cocktail in hand – it’s the perfect place to savor the moment.

As a true “Frankfurter Mädsche,” I’ve always stayed loyal to my hometown – leaving it only to discover the world. For more than 30 years, I’ve worked as a qualified travel agent, helping people make the best time of their year even more special.
As Goethe once said: “The best education for a clever person is travel.”
Whether I count as clever or not, others may decide – but one thing is certain: I’ve always loved traveling myself.
In 2019, I had the idea not only to sell and enjoy travel, but also to guide visitors through my own city of Frankfurt. Since then, alongside my full-time job, I’ve been showing guests from near and far the city I call home. On Instagram, I share my passion for the city under the name @mainstaedtsche.
Both jobs bring me the same joy: meeting people and sharing experiences. That’s also how I like to spend my free time – with friends, outings, and plenty of good company. Of course, cozy evenings on the sofa are important too – every voice and every mind needs a little rest now and then. ☺️

What is a tour with you like?
Have you heard of the world’s youngest old town? You’ll find it right here in Frankfurt – our Neue Altstadt. Naturally, the Old Town and the New Old Town are the highlights of many of my tours.
But there’s so much more to discover: a tour dedicated to our local drink, Ebbelwoi (apple wine), or “Frankfurt at Second Glance,” which reveals lesser-known gems. I do my best to make every wish come true – whether it’s a simple airport transfer to your hotel, a city sightseeing tour with or without a walking element, or organizing tours for larger groups with the help of our wonderful network of guides. Whatever your ideas may be, no matter how unusual they sound – we’ll make them happen together.
What’s your favorite spot in Frankfurt?
My favorite places are by the river or high above the city. Did you know Frankfurt still has a ferry? Since 1623, it has crossed between Schwanheim and Höchst – and every ride feels a bit like a short holiday.
I also love the restaurant boats Freigut and Frau Rauscher Boot right at the Eiserner Steg. Even on the hottest summer days, it’s the perfect place to relax.
But for the most spectacular view, nothing beats the 95-meter-high Cathedral Tower. It takes all of your own strength to climb the 321 steps to the top – but the reward is unforgettable.

Originally from rural Ohio, I came to Germany to be with my now-husband after a decade working in international education. Since settling here, I’ve fallen in love with my adopted home — and since 2018, I’ve been sharing that enthusiasm with visitors from around the world. When I’m not leading tours, you’ll find me playing board games with my family, hiking in the Taunus with friends, or walking my dog while losing myself in an audiobook (non-fiction and historical fiction, naturally).

What’s your favorite spot in Frankfurt?
That’s a tough one. When it comes to museums, the Goethe House holds a special place for me — I love stepping inside a historic home and imagining everyday life in another era (in this case, 1749). My favorite place to unwind is the Palmengarten, a stunning 20-hectare botanical garden that feels like a world of its own in the middle of the city. With indoor exhibits, a butterfly house, art exhibitions, open-air concerts, and a pond where you can rent rowing boats, it’s the perfect spot to relax with family or friends on a weekend afternoon.

Ursprünglich stamme ich aus dem ländlichen Ohio; nach einem Jahrzehnt in der internationalen Bildungsarbeit kam ich nach Deutschland, um bei meinem heutigen Ehemann zu sein. Seit ich mich hier niedergelassen habe, habe ich mich in meine Wahlheimat verliebt – und seit 2018 teile ich diese Begeisterung mit Besuchern aus aller Welt. Wie sieht eine Tour bei dir aus?
Begleiten Sie mich und entdecken Sie Frankfurt mit den Augen von jemandem, der sich an Kirchen und Burgen nie sattsehen kann und die Lebensqualität, die Deutschland zu bieten hat, aufrichtig zu schätzen weiß. Meine Führungen verweben Geschichte, Architektur, Kunst, Kultur und Humor zu einem Spaziergang, der ebenso unterhaltsam wie lehrreich ist. Und das Wichtigste: Ich sorge dafür, dass Sie genau wissen, was Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts hier unbedingt essen müssen – Essen ist nämlich eines meiner Lieblingsthemen!
Was ist dein Lieblingsplatz in Frankfurt?
Das ist eine schwierige Frage. Was Museen angeht, nimmt das Goethe-Haus einen ganz besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen ein – ich liebe es, ein historisches Wohnhaus zu betreten und mir das Alltagsleben einer anderen Epoche vorzustellen (in diesem Fall das Jahr 1749). Mein liebster Ort zum Entspannen ist der Palmengarten: ein atemberaubender, 20 Hektar großer Botanischer Garten, der inmitten der Stadt wie eine eigene Welt wirkt. Mit seinen Gewächshäusern, dem Schmetterlingshaus, Kunstausstellungen, Open-Air-Konzerten und einem Teich, auf dem man Ruderboote leihen kann, ist er der perfekte Ort, um an einem Wochenendnachmittag mit Familie oder Freunden die Seele baumeln zu lassen.
